Important Information for Daily Procedures
Attendance Information:
There are three ways you can report student absences:
- Use the School Messenger App
- Use the SchoolMessenger web portal
- Email the school at alcabsence@ocdsb.ca
- Call the school 613-831-3434

Ottawa School Bus (OSTA):
Eligible for a bus? You can check on the Ottawa School Bus website.
- Review the bus numbers for your children's bus as they may have 2 bus number which represent 2 different buses/drivers. We assign bus colors every fall and the routes change every year, so please review the fresh colors and numbers every September.
- Please sign up for the www.ottawaschoolbus.com
notification system so you know if your bus ever gets cancelled. We do not get the notification, this is parent/guardian responsibility to sign up and check when you are unsure. - Review the School Bus Safety Brochure with your child before school starts and regularly.
Drop off/Pick up Procedures:
Drop off in the school year along the fence line is between 9:00-9:15am
- Pickup is 3:45pm for All Grades 1-6.
- Pickup at the end of day for Kindergarten is 3:45pm
PLEASE park along the side streets and/or make a meeting spot off property.
Do not park in our school parking lots as this creates a safety issue for our students. Students under 10 will not be released without an adult meeting at the fence. If alternative plans have been made, you must communicate them to the school office.
Website and Principal Messages:
We have a weekly email that goes out from the principal on Friday nights. Watch for this in your email or junk folder. The message is also posted on the website.
