A. Lorne Cassidy Snow Day Procedures
In the event of a Snow Day, all buses are cancelled but the school remains open. Buses are cancelled for the entire day. If you choose to bring your child to school, please be aware that you will need to return to pick them up at 3:45 p.m. Please send your child with a lunch as all food programs are cancelled at this time and food is not available.
Reminder ALL children will be released at the end of day as a walker. That means, they will be dismissed out in the yard at the fence line at end of day BY 3:45pm.
Please do not attempt to pickup at the office as this causes a lot of confusion for end of day. Make a meeting spot for these emergency days, this makes for less confusion.
When busses are cancelled, we will not be contacting you. You can sign up for the OSTA notification system that emails you directly if you have a problem with a bus route.
Please review your bus number, color, stop and route with your children often and double check for any changes to your route or bus number frequently as OSTA has the right to change routes during staffing and bus challenges at this time.

If buses are cancelled, PARENTS OF WALKING STUDENTS MUST enter in their absences on school messenger by 9:15 am, email [email protected] or call 613-831-3434. The school remains open and walkers are expected to arrive, weather does not assume a walker is home.
Parents of bussed students do not have to call in their absences as it is assumed that they will stay home.
